The 125th Annual Christmas Bird Count is a naturalist-guided bird count on the trails or boardwalk near the Nature Center. The event will start with a brief presentation about the Christmas Bird Count, then will break into hiking groups and hit the trails. Refreshments, crafts and tallying our results will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a family-friendly event, and there will also be crafts and coloring pages for children available.
Hiking is snow or shine. Naturalists will lead hikes out to the Boardwalk or surrounding trails, but you can also opt to count birds inside by the bird feeders. Binoculars available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis; you are encouraged to bring your own.
Event is included with regular admission.
