Black Heritage Saturdays

March 28 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Black Heritage Saturdays is held monthly at Learning Community North Omaha Center in coordination with the Great Plains Black History Museum, Identity Preparatory Academy, Omaha Cares Mentoring Movement, 100 Black Men of Omaha, and Church on Purpose. Open to the community, including elementary, middle, and high school youth; adults; and elders. Refreshments will be served.

  • Feb. 28 :The History of Us – Discussion on Black History.
  • March 28: The History of Voting & Black Suffrage
  • April 25: Black Wall Street and the History of Tulsa, Ok.
  • May 23: HBCUs and Brown vs. The Board of Education
  • June 27: Juneteenth – History and Celebration
