Beetles In The Wetlands: Community Science Day

June 19 @ 8:30 pm – 10:30 pm

Omaha Bug Symposium and Fontenelle Forest will lead a short night hike on easy terrain to search for beetles, millipedes, and other creepy crawlies that come out at night in the Wetlands. End the night examining the creatures that visit the light trap.

Long pants and bug spray are HIGHLY encouraged. They recommend that participants bring their own flashlights or headlamps or borrow some on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no facilities at the Wetlands, so plan accordingly.

This program is geared toward adults and families with science-minded children due to the upper-level concepts and activities we will be engaging with.  

$15 – $25 $15 for Members and $25 for Non-members. Pre-registration is required.
