Hi!  I’m Kim – welcome to Oh My! Omaha, a blog dedicated to exploring my hometown, Omaha, and to inspiring family vacations. I’m glad you’re here! I hope you’ll stay a while.

What’s Oh My! Omaha?

This blog is a parent’s guide to Omaha – and beyond. Here you’ll see I write about two things: Omaha and travel. With parents in mind, I cover things to do with kids and sometimes without kids.

If Omaha is your destination, I’ve got two categories for you to browse: Where To Eat In Omaha and What To Do In Omaha.

Where to eat: Some of the most popular posts on the blog are about Omaha restaurants. Start with 33+ Must-Try Restaurants In Omaha. If you’re craving something in particular – steaks, donuts, pizza, for instance – use the search bar to find what you’re looking for. If I haven’t written about it, I will, so make a suggestion!

What to do in Omaha: Depending on the season, you’ll want to start with either things to do in Omaha in the summer or things to do in Omaha in the winter. Don’t skip Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, even if you’re not here with kids. For an updated listed of family-friendly events, exhibits, shows and festivals in Omaha, go to the Omaha Events Calendar

Life is best spent exploring, and while I love exploring Omaha, I can’t resist the call of the road. Travel is divided into two sections:

Midwest Adventures and Family Travel Destinations

Day trip ideas from Omaha can be found in posts like 10 Outdoor Adventures Near Omaha and 7 Favorite Trails Near Omaha. For inspiration for weekend getaways from Omaha (or longer), start exploring different Midwest categories:

South Dakota

Some of my favorite places to write about outside the Midwest include Florida, California and Mexico.

Stay in the know

Get the most out of my blog by subscribing here first. My e-newsletters will keep you up to date on all posts, events going on in Omaha and, my favorite, giveaways. I never spam you and you can expect about two emails from me a month.

Heck, while you’re at it, follow me on Facebook and Twitter. I share things that don’t make it into a post here – including giveaways and a lot more events. If you have a Pinterest addiction, allow me to feed it. If you love pretty photos, follow me on Instagram
