Halloween Is Brewing

Halloween fun is planned on Oct. 11 at the Owen Marina located inside Mahoney State Park.
Activities include:
- Costume parade 3 p.m.
- Pumpkin carving contest (winners announced at 3:45 p.m.)
- Naturalist activities
- Halloween Games
- Meal deal: Hot dog, chips, bottled water or pop for $5. S’mores kits for purchase: $2.50
- Campfire
Pumpkins will be available to purchase for $6 in limited quantity. Carving and decorating tools will be provided.
There will also be a campground decorating contest. Those with a campsite can win prizes.
There will be trolleys ride through the campgrounds so you can see the entries and vote for your favorite.
The event is free, but a valid park permit is required for entry.
