Yule Log Festival

The annual event at Platte River State Park, Yule Log Festival, will be held on Dec. 21 at the park’s Walter Scott Jr. Lodge. Activities include making pinecone bird feeders and other kid-friendly crafts, camp games, pictures with Santa, free lighted hayrack rides, and free marshmallow roasting. There will also be a Winter Holiday Cooking Decorating Contest. Bring your decorated festive platter of cookies; the winner will be announced at 2:15 p.m.
Additionally, the Yule Log Quest will take place in the park. Teams may register by calling Platte River State Park at (402) 234-2217.)
A 2024 Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for park entry.
