“One-Track Mind” Photography Exhibition
August 29 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The Durham Museum is partnering with the Common Senses Festival (which is Sept. 13-27) to host an exhibition inspired by this year’s preferred interest theme: Trains. “One-Track Mind” photography exhibition is on display Aug. 29 through Oct. 4.
Acclaimed photographer Blair Bunting brings the beauty, power and artistry of American freight rail to life in One-Track Mind. When the pandemic paused commercial photography productions, Bunting turned his camera toward the railways of the American West, combining his lifelong fascination with trains with his award-winning photography career. The exhibition features striking images of rail systems across the country, from the iconic BNSF “Golden
Swoosh” to Union Pacific trains traveling through breathtaking landscapes.
