“Ancient, Mythic, Heroic”
March 10 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Inspired by Opera Omaha’s production of “Hercules,” the exhibition “Ancient, Mythic, Heroic” explores the enduring power of myth and storytelling through images and sculpture. It’s on display at the Joslyn Castle in Carriage House from March 6-16. Note: Select works will move to the Orpheum Theater March 13, for “Hercules,” performed by The English Concert.
works focus on heroism, expressed through physical strength or symbolic power. Others evoke an ancient aesthetic, crafted today yet appearing as if they were made long ago. Together, the exhibition invites viewers to step into an environment that transports them back in time and into another world. Curated by Shawn Ballarin.
