“Dripping Earth”

With the ambitious and immersive exhibition, “Dripping Earth,” Cannupa Hanska Luger draws inspiration from his ancestral connection to the Northern Plains in newly created ceramics, video projections, prints, and monumental sculpture. Luger’s playful and innovative approach invites visitors to envision a future where land, identity, and culture are reclaimed and transformed.
“Dripping Earth” is a ticketed exhibition. Tickets may be purchased upon arrival at the Welcome Desk; no advance reservations. Tickets are $10 for ages 13+; it’s free for those 12 and under and members.

- Opening Weekend Public Program – Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. featuring the 2025 Graham & Sally Lusk Lecture with artist Cannupa Hanska Luger. $15 for general public (includes admission to the talk and exhibition); FREE for Joslyn members; registration required.
- Nights at The Joslyn – Dec. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. FREE
- Art-tastic Saturdays – Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. FREE
- Author Talk with Angela K. Parker – Jan 10. at 1 p.m. Angela K. Parker, PhD, Associate Professor of History at the University of Denver and an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold, will speak about her book, “Damming the Reservation: Tribal Sovereignty and Activism at Fort Berthold.” FREE, registration required.
- Stories of Our Being: Indigenous Origins in Nebraska – Jan. 20 & 21 from 5 to 9 p.m. For two nights only, a traditional lodge, or tipi, will rise in The Joslyn, and all are invited to listen to stories that have been generously shared with Steve Tamayo (Sicangu Lakota), Omaha-based artist and National Heritage Fellow. FREE, includes admission to the exhibition; registration required; 20-minute sessions begin every half-hour.
