Winterland Ice Skating

Winterland Ice Skating at Heartwood Park runs from Nov. 1 through Feb. 1, 2026. Ice skating and skate rentals are free, courtesy of Applied Underwriters. Visitors can view the schedule and reserve their 90-minute skating sessions now. While reservations are encouraged, a limited number of walk-ups will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Winterland at Heartwood Preserve will once again be set against a backdrop of holiday decorations and festive music, and on weekends, a local coffee truck will be onsite serving up seasonal beverages and treats to help guests stay warm between laps on the ice.
From Nov. 1-23 and Jan. 9-Feb. 1, it’s weekend-only skating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. From Nov. 28-Jan. 4, ice skating will be open daily. Winterland will have the following events:
- Visits with Santa (Photos with Santa on Dec. 13, 14, 20 and 21 from noon to 4 p.m. Santa will be in a heated tent)
- Chanukah Skate Night (Dec. 16 from 4-8 p.m. featuring kosher treats and crafts under a heated tent, and the lighting of an Ice Menorah that will be sculpted live, during the event.)

- Christmas Eve: 12-5:30 pm
- Christmas Day: 4-9:30 pm
- New Year’s Eve: 12-5:30 pm
- New Year’s Day: 12-9:30 pm
- MLK Day: 12-7:30 pm
