Have you ever been glamping? (And if you’re new to the concept – glamping is a luxurious form of camping. Think: real toilets and a place to charge your cell phone.) Last year, Kim shared some awesome glamping spots across the Western and Midwestern United States. While that post is super helpful, it didn’t include any locations in Missouri. So, here are some great glamping spots in Missouri that you need to check out!

1. Hawley Farm
Where: Hamilton, Missouri
Why: Whether you’re in town for some quilting or just want to recharge, Hawley Farm has a lot to offer guests. Located just 5 minutes from the quaint downtown of Hamilton, you’ll find an oasis of gardens and trails, and even a pond for fishing, swimming, or row boating. All you need to do is select one of the three Glamp sites to book and the rest is taken care of.
The bookings come with fresh coffee and breakfast for two delivered daily, linens, a portable toilet, and a fire pit. Please note that there’s a two-night minimum stay, and four-night maximum.
2. Glamping St. Louis
Where: St. Charles, Missouri
Why: Glamping St. Louis offers glamping tents and cottages that are available for a two-night weekend reservation, Friday-Sunday. The property is located in St. Charles County farm country along the Missouri River. Take a paddle on the River or explore the nearby city of St. Charles, right outside of St. Louis proper.
They provide everything you need to have a great weekend getaway. All you need to pack is some food to cook on a bbq, firepit, or camp stove (all provided) and you’re ready to go!
3. The Sundance Ranch
Where: Excelsior Springs, Missouri
Why: The Sundance Ranch is stunning. Located on a 200-acre ranch, the property is fringed by limestone boulders and features a spring-fed, 15-acre private lake.
You can choose from five different properties for your stay. There’s a guesthouse, a cabin on the lake, a treehouse, a tipi, and a guest suite (located in a corner of the large barn on the property). All options include access to the lake for swimming, boating, hiking, and fishing.
You’ll also find plenty of options for entertainment and things to do in Excelsior Springs.
4. The Getaway Treehouse & Jacuzzi Bath House
Where: Cassville, Missouri
Why: This property is as unique as they come. Climb up into a treehouse for sleeping, cooking, and relaxing in the middle of nature. The treehouse sleeps up to four people, over the age of 6. The bathhouse and the treehouse are connected by a wooden bridge. It books up quickly, so plan your visit in advance.
You’ll find plenty to do in Roaring River State Park, which is just a mile away. Whether you’re into hiking trails, fly fishing, or touring a rainbow trout hatchery, you’ll find something fun for you and your family.
5. Big Cedar’s Camp Long Creek
Where: Ridgedale, Missouri
Why: If you live in the Midwest, you are likely familiar with Big Cedar Lodge at Table Rock Lake. A popular year-round destination with locals and tourists alike, the property has it all. From a full spa to fishing on the lake, you’ll be relaxing in no time.
And, if you are looking for a unique, glamping option, Big Cedar’s Camp Long Creek is your destination. They offer camp huts, camp cabins, and glamping tents. The glamping tents are beautiful, lit by a chandelier and house king-sized beds.
You’ll find them situated along the lake-front and in wooded forest settings. Perhaps best of all, they have private campfires and an outdoor tub for soaking.
6. Missouri State Park Yurts
Where: Multiple parks including: Pomme de Terre (3), Lake of the Ozarks (2), and Table Rock (1) (centralized booking for all parks is here)
Why: What better way to experience the beauty of Missouri than by visiting a state park? Several of the parks offer a unique way to be outdoors while still being comfortable.
The yurts in the state parks are all traditional. They are circular, have a weather-tight fabric cover, a dome skylight, a locking front door, a dorm-sized fridge, a/c and heat, and contain log furniture. You just need to bring along your own bedding. There is no running water in the yurts, but a modern, central restroom and showerhouse close by.
The rates are reasonable, $50-55/night + tax and sleep up to 5-6 people.
