From The Great Lakes To The Great Plains Programs

“The exhibition “From the Great Lakes to the Great Plains: The Visible Currents of Climate Change” is on display at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art from June 13 through Sept. 14, and during that time, there will be programs open to the public.
Schedule:
- June 13: Opening Reception + Member Preview from 7 to 9 p.m. with complimentary libations, light hors d’oeuvres, music mix by DJ Kethro, and several artists in attendance.
- June 14: Artists Talk Water from 3 to 4 p.m.
- June 26 and Aug. 14: Curator-Led Tours from 7 to 8 p.m.
- June 28: OMA ARTalks with UNMC Water, Climate and Health Program from 3 to 4 p.m.
- July 10, Aug. 9, and Sept. 13: Exhibition Highlights Tours from noon to 12:30 p.m.
- July 31: Lunch + Learn with Monroe Burianek of Lauritzen Gardens from noon to 1 p.m.
- Aug. 7: In Conversation: Author Anna Farro Henderson and Exhibiting Artist/Poet Trey Moody from 6 to 7 p.m.
- Aug. 21: Film Premiere of “Drowned Land” with Colleen Thurston and Taylor Keen from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Aug. 23: Experimental Music Performance featuring Nadia Botello’s “Other Channels” with Omaha Symphony from 3 to 4 p.m.
