SUMMARY:Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration
DESCRIPTION:United Way of the Midlands and community partners will hold the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 19. During the event\, 64 community partner volunteers will come together to assemble Good on the Go snack kits for the Heart Ministry Center. The number of 64 volunteers was specifically selected to represent the Civil Rights Act of 1964. \n\n\n\nFollowing the kit build\, volunteers will be treated to a meal from Big Mama’s Kitchen and Catering – with additional meals being delivered to Black Men United for distribution. \n\n\n\nIn addition\, Nebraska Medicine is observing the Day of Service with its employees at a separate Good on the Go volunteer event assembling kits for distribution across our community.
