DESCRIPTION:The Voices Amplified series presents Page to Stage: Black Playwrights featuring “Frydaddies” on July 16. In partnership with the Union for Contemporary Art\, this event gives a behind-the-curtain look at play development. From idea to page and finally stage\, playwright Eric Lawson shares his creative process by focusing on his latest work: “Frydaddies.” In his play\, Lawson explores themes of queerness while centering joy and representation from across the community. Plus\, get insight from cast members too as they reflect on transforming the TV/web series “Frydaddies” into a stage play.
