SUMMARY:EXTC - XTC’s Terry Chambers & Friends
DESCRIPTION:EXTC performs on Sept. 30 at Reverb Lounge. Doors open at 7 p.m.\, and show starts at 8. \n\n\n\nFollowing 80 successful dates across North America between 2022 and 2024 on four different runs\, EXTC are returning to the United States and Canada in 2025 under the booking management of MoonJune Music for two extended North American tours: the first one between April 09 and June15\, and the second one between September 2 and October 26. \n\n\n\nFor almost four decades XTC fans could only dream of witnessing the sensational XTC classic songbook played live. That dream has now become a reality. XTC’s legendary drummer Terry Chambers is back on the road with his band EXTC (named and approved by XTC frontman\, Andy Partridge). \n\n\n\nEmerging out of the post-punk and new-wave explosion of the late 70s XTC experienced global success touring with the likes of The Police and Talking Heads. The band put their hometown of Swindon UK on the map. They achieved huge success in North America and Japan. Sadly their legions of loyal fans would be left in limbo when in 1982 XTC stopped touring becoming a studio-based entity. Fast forward to 2017 Terry returned to the UK from Australia and reconnected with XTC bandmate Colin Moulding. The two would go on to collaborate on new venture TC&I releasing an EP and live album.  \n\n\n\nSadly the project was short-lived with TC&I disbanding in early 2019. By now the flame inside Terry had been reignited. His time with TC&I made him realize he wanted to continue doing what he does best. His love and passion for playing music and performing live gave him the idea for his new project EXTC. \n\n\n\nBorn in early 2019 EXTC would set out to achieve its goals of performing to audiences who had waited so long to hear the EXTC back catalogue performed live only to be bought to a standstill in 2020 due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Terry was keen to get on the road with EXTC with a tour of the United States scheduled for autumn 2020. Unfortunately this would be postponed due to covid restrictions still in place the tour being rescheduled for the following year. \n\n\n\nThe band eventually began gigging again in 2021 with sold-out dates around the UK. This would include the Isle of Wight Festival and gigs in Terry Chambers and XTC’s hometown of Swindon. The band would go on to do further successful tours of the United States and Canada with EXTC also heading to Japan in early 2023. EXTC has kept much of the original fan base from XTC’s glory days of the late 70s and early 80s as well as gaining a new following of fans in their own right. Enthusiastic fans have lapped up the chance to see Terry and EXTC perform all those classics live once more. Alongside Terry the EXTC line-up features frontman Steve Hampton (lead vocals & guitar – Joe Jackson\, The Vapors and Dead Crow Road) and Terry Lines (bass & vocals – The Rams and Dead Crow Road). \n\n\n\nOriginally a four-piece EXTC band members have changed frequently over recent years. EXTC announced in November 2022 that they are now moving forward as a three-piece. Terry\, Steve and Terry will bring you the full EXTC experience with their mesmerizing and engaging live performances as you relive the heyday of XTC. With new material already in the works EXTC is a band on an upward trajectory. With their popularity gaining momentum and international tour schedules increasing it is clear the sky is the limit for Terry Chambers and EXTC!

SUMMARY:She's Green
DESCRIPTION:she’s green is at the Reverb Lounge on Sept. 3. Openers are Mother Soki and Madeline Reddel. \n\n\n\nLikened to a soft summer rain\, she’s green is a Minneapolis-based dream-inducer composed of vocalist Zofia Smith\, guitarists Liam Armstrong and Raines Lucas\, bassist Teddy Nordvold\, and drummer Kevin Seebeck. The band has played many shows throughout the Midwest and East Coast\, sharing bills with acts such as Hotline TNT\, Glixen\, Friko\, and more. The Star Tribune recommends bringing “earplugs and maybe a tissue for their set.” They initially received recognition through their first two released singles\, “river” and “smile again”\, both recorded and mixed at home. A raw emotional intensity shines through their honest and explorative songwriting process. After the release of their debut EP Wisteria\, they were named one of First Avenue’s Best New Bands of 2023. In April 2024\, they got the most votes from industry professionals for MPR station The Current’s first annual Scouting Report Poll of the top rising artists in Minnesota.

SUMMARY:Koo Koo
DESCRIPTION:Koo Koo plays at Reverb Lounge on March 15. Koo Koo’s “dance-a-long” videos became an unexpected hit with elementary school teachers\, which led Koo Koo into the world of children’s music and becoming a “real” kids band. Tickets are $25; VIP experience tickets are $50. \nAbout the band: Koo Koo was created by Bryan and Neil in 2008. They met four years prior as freshman at St. Mary’s University in Winona\, MN. After being in a campus rock band for the first few years of college\, the guys created Koo Koo as an experimental project for SMU’s annual battle of the bands. The idea centered around crowd participation\, comedy and dance music\, stretching the concept of a what a “band” could be. \nThe next few years saw Bryan and Neil touring throughout the midwest playing bars\, basements and barbecues. Meanwhile they released their first few albums and music videos. In 2010 the band was chosen to support Orange County superhero rock band The Aquabats on their east coast tour. This turned into more support slots with Reel Big Fish and Yo Gabba Gabba Live. Meanwhile Koo Koo began creating “dance-a-long” videos (initially as something of a joke) for their songs in order to help demonstrate the moves that audiences would need to know at their shows. These videos were unexpectedly a hit with elementary school teachers\, which led Koo Koo into the world of children’s music and becoming a “real” kids band. \nMore domestic and international touring followed as the guys hit the road with The Vans Warped Tour\, Frank Turner & Sleeping Souls\, and MC Lars. Concept albums about cats\, potty humor\, self-help\, holidays and Panera Bread added to the band’s discography. Simultaneously\, the popularity of their “brain break” dance-a-long videos continued to skyrocket in classrooms around the world. \nIn 2021 Bryan and Neil released their first non-concept album since 2013\, partnering with Twin Cities producer extraordinaire Lazerbeak. “Slow Clap” presents a more hip-hop-centric sound with plenty of grooving bass lines and monstrous drums\, while retaining the catchy\, weirdo-energy fans expect from the band.
