SUMMARY:Air Supply: 50th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Air Supply brings their 50th Anniversary Celebration to the Orpheum Theater on July 19. Tickets range from $91.50-$142 and are available through Ticket Omaha. \n\n\n\nEstablished in 1975\, Air Supply has been “lost in love\,” “all out of love\,” and “making love out of nothing at all” long enough to be a beloved band for generations. SUMMARY:Travis Tritt
DESCRIPTION:Country legend Travis Tritt is at the Orpheum Theater on July 17. The official ticket seller for the Orpheum is Ticket Omaha. \n\n\n\nA versatile Grammy Award-winning singer\, songwriter\, and actor\, Tritt was one of the leading new country artists of the early ‘90s\, holding his own against Garth Brooks\, Clint Black\, and Alan Jackson. He was the only one not to wear a hat and the only one to dip into bluesy Southern rock. Consequently\, he developed a gutsy\, outlaw image that distinguished him from the pack and helped propel him to the top of the charts with platinum-selling records like “Country Club\,” “It’s All About to Change\,” and “T-r-o-u-b-l-e.”  \n\n\n\nEfforts like “The Storm” (2007) found their way into the Country Albums Top Ten. Tritt signed to Big Noise for 2021’s Set in Stone and released his first gospel album\, “Country Chapel\,” in 2023.

SUMMARY:CARMEN.maquia
DESCRIPTION:Renowned Ballet Hispánico presents CARMEN.maquia by Gustavo Ramírez Sansano. The performance is at 7 p.m. Ticketholders can enjoy a dance demonstration from graduates of O-pa and Ballet Hispánico’s Pre-Professional Training Experience in the lobby before the show starting at 6:10 p.m. There are three events for the public planned around this performance. Learn more here. \nDirected by Ballet Hispánico’s Eduardo Vilaro and choreographed by Valencian visionary Gustavo Ramírez Sansano\, this reimagined tale strips Carmen of her clichés\, presenting her instead as a force of nature: Untamed\, defiant\, and deeply human. Their hauntingly beautiful\, Picasso-inspired take on the beloved classic is physically charged with sensual choreography fusing contemporary dance with nods to the Spanish paso doble and flamenco. \n\n\n\nBallet Hispánico is the largest Latinx/Latine/Hispanic cultural organization in the United States and one of America’s Cultural Treasures. Ballet Hispánico’s three main programs\, the Company\, School of Dance\, and Community Arts Partnerships bring communities together to celebrate the multifaceted Hispanic diasporas. Ballet Hispánico’s New York City headquarters provide the physical home and cultural heart for Latinx dance in the United States. It is a space that initiates new inclusive cultural conversations and explores the intersectionality of Latine cultures. No matter their background or identity – Latine\, Latinx\, Hispanic – Ballet Hispánico welcomes and serves all\, breaking stereotypes and celebrating the beauty and diversity of Hispanic cultures through dance.
