DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Malcolm X’s centennial in partnership with the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation\, there will be a Q&A interview with NEA Jazz Master\, two-time Emmy® and Oscar® nominee\, and eight-time Grammy® winning trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard. Blanchard will talk about his Malcolm X Jazz Suite; created for Spike Lee’s 1992 film “Malcolm X” about the human rights and civil rights icon\, for which Blanchard wrote and performed the score.  \n\n\n\nBlanchard will also perform his Malcolm X Jazz Suite live on Saturday\, October 11\, at 7:30 p.m. at the Holland Center.   \n\n\n\nCost is pay-what-you-can.
