DESCRIPTION:Halloween fun is planned on Oct. 11 at the Owen Marina located inside Mahoney State Park. \n\n\n\nActivities include: \n\n\n\n\nCostume parade 3 p.m.\n\n\n\nPumpkin carving contest (winners announced at 3:45 p.m.)\n\n\n\nNaturalist activities\n\n\n\nHalloween Games\n\n\n\nMeal deal: Hot dog\, chips\, bottled water or pop for $5.  S’mores kits for purchase: $2.50\n\n\n\nCampfire\n\n\n\n\nPumpkins will be available to purchase for $6 in limited quantity. Carving and decorating tools will be provided.   \n\n\n\nThere will also be a campground decorating contest. Those with a campsite can win prizes. There will be trolleys ride through the campgrounds so you can see the entries and vote for your favorite. \n\n\n\nThe event is free\, but a valid park permit is required for entry.

On a dark and stormy night Governor Wally Wessel and his bodyguard\, Trooper Duper take refuge at Moldmaster Manor\, a spooky old house inhabited by wealthy Mordred Moldmaster\, his daughter Amberleigh\, Mordred’s evil brother Cringe and Cringe’s scheming wife Ophelia. The governor and Trooper Duper are seeking shelter from a deadly storm but are unaware that they are in more danger within than without. Mordred has disinherited Cringe and Ophelia\, leaving all of his vast fortune to daughter Amberleigh. Spooked by a notorious gangster\, horrible Harry Rattbender is after the statue and will stop at nothing to steal it away. Michelle’s aunt Minnie is beside herself and no one but even she can be tempted by the untold wealth the Troll would bring. Is handyman Billy there to fix what is broken\, or fix him up for a life of leisure? Mahoney State Park present three melodramas this summer: “Peril of the Storm\,” “Baron’s Revenge” and “Troll of Trafalgar.” Performances take place at the Denman and Mary Mallory Kountze Memorial Theatre inside the park. For tickets\, call (402) 944-2957. \n\n\n\nSynopsis: “Peril of the Storm\,” by D. ChapelleWally Wessel was once an inept small town mayor who grew up to be a totally inept governor! On a dark and stormy night Governor Wally Wessel and his bodyguard\, Trooper Duper take refuge at Moldmaster Manor\, a spooky old house inhabited by wealthy Mordred Moldmaster\, his daughter Amberleigh\, Mordred’s evil brother Cringe and Cringe’s scheming wife Ophelia. The governor and Trooper Duper are seeking shelter from a deadly storm but are unaware that they are in more danger within than without. Mordred has disinherited Cringe and Ophelia\, leaving all of his vast fortune to daughter Amberleigh. Cringe and his wife Ophelia will do anything\, yes anything\, to gain control of the estate\, including disposing of the Governor\, Mordred\, Amberleigh\, Duper or anybody else foolish enough to stand in their way! \n\n\n\n“Baron’s Revenge\,” by D.
