DESCRIPTION:A special performance from Omaha’s tbd. dance collective\, presented as part of the Luminarium’s seasonal exhibition\, “GLOW.” The performance features “Mycelia\,” a work by Austin-based choreographer Alexa Capareda\, originally set on tbd. company members in 2023. “Mycelia” is inspired by mycelia and intelligent interconnected networks; the piece experiments with ways we interact/communicate with\, and tether to\, each other. Within this performance\, “Mycelia” is a site-specific piece\, staged among the glowing mushrooms. Dancers\, and their movement\, will be a visual representation of the interwoven filaments that form the body of a fungus. \nTickets are $20\, or $15 for Luminarium members. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 7.

DESCRIPTION:Kiewit Luminarium’s annual exhibit of light\, art and science runs Nov. 14 through Jan. 26. Programming for all ages explores the broad spectrum of light’s influence on human culture and its significance as a source of scientific inquiry in disciplines ranging from biology to astrophysics. Included with admission. \nThe opening event for “GLOW” is Nov. 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. during Night Light\, for ages 18+. There will be special programming during Night Light events throughout the run of the exhibit.  \nAll ages events include “GLOW: Life in a Different Light” on Nov. 16 from 1 to 2 p.m.\, and “GLOW: Fireflies and Their Flashy Behavior” with biologist Dr. Ted Burk on Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
