SUMMARY:"Under The Skin"
DESCRIPTION:KANEKO presents “Under the Skin\,” a provocative exhibition that strips away pretense to explore the raw complexity of the nude form\, from Nov. 21 through March 22\, 2026\, with an opening reception on Friday\, November 21. \n\n\n\nThe naked body tells stories words cannot—of intimacy and isolation\, confidence and fragility\, desire and discomfort. Under the Skin confronts these universal human experiences through the unfiltered lens of the nude form. Featuring boundary-pushing works from the distinguished collections of Karen & Robert Duncan and Kathryn & Marc LeBaron\, this exhibition presents powerful imagery that challenges conventions\, provokes conversation\, and lingers long after viewing. The exhibition includes artworks by numerous international artists\, including Robert Mapplethorpe\, Louise Bourgeois\, Bharti Kher\, and Kehinde Wiley. \n\n\n\nNOTE: Please be advised that this exhibition contains depictions of full/partial nudity and mature themes. Parents and guardians are encouraged to preview and assess the content to decide if it aligns with what they deem appropriate for their children.

SUMMARY:"Beyond the Finishing Point"
DESCRIPTION:“Beyond the Finishing Point” showcases Jun Kaneko’s collaborative drawings with 3-year-old Ana Citrin. The exhibit runs through Oct. 8. \n\n\n\nThe collection reveals what happens when mastery meets uninhibited expression. The series emerged from Kaneko’s fundamental artistic question – How do you know when a work is finished? – explored during his tenure as Head of Ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art. \n\n\n\nIn this extraordinary partnership\, Ana became the decision-maker\, determining when each drawing was complete. “I made a rule\,” Kaneko explains. “When she said\, ‘new paper\,’ no matter what\, I had to stop and change the paper.” Their Saturday sessions\, spanning over two years\, produced works that bridge disciplined technique and pure creative instinct. The exhibition invites viewers into a meditation on artistic boundaries\, revealing the profound connections that form when an established artist surrenders control to spontaneity and trust.

SUMMARY:Grown-Up & Me: A Creative Collaboration
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by Jun Kaneko’s collaboration with 3-year-old Ana Citrin\, Grown-Up & Me: A Creative Collaboration invites a child and their favorite grown-up to work together and co-create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. But here’s the twist: The child gets to decide when the piece is finished by declaring “all done!” – putting their voice\, intuition\, and creative confidence front and center. \n\n\n\nThis program is recommended for children ages 3-8 years old\, along with their caregiver\, parent\, grandparent\, or favorite adult who is ready to listen\, collaborate\, and make space for their vision. \n\n\n\nThis event will also feature young entrepreneur vendors from the Omaha Children’s Business Fair and Your Empowerment Studio (YES!)\, whose missions are to inspire and empower students.
