SUMMARY:Art & Literary Festival: The Harlem Renaissance
DESCRIPTION:Joslyn Castle & Gardens & Metropolitan Community College present the 16th Annual Art & Literary Festival celebrating the Harlem Renaissance from Nov. 13-16. The main event of the festival is the production of an anthology of dramatized short stories\, essays\, and poems titled “Voices from the Harlem Renaissance\, “adapted by Scott Working of MCC and directed by TammyRa’ of Great Plains Theatre Commons. Holmes! \n\n\n\nBrian J. Corey (Necronomicast) – “Hauntings: What are they? Who are they?” \n\n\n\nBrian joined Necronomicast in 2014 and has been hosting the podcast since 2020\, guiding you through topics better left mentioned after sundown and under a full moon. In addition to hosting the “Historic Haunted Heartland” of live events\, Brian has emceed the “Omaha Haunticon” paranormal convention and the Nebraska Bigfoot Conference.

This visible mending workshop will be led by upcycle designer\, Nicole\, from Elsie’s Attic. In addition to Nicole leading participants through this mending workshop\, attendees will have the option to drop off quick mends (ie.\, fixes like\, a ripped seam\, replacing buttons\, patching a small hole and general mends that don’t require tailoring) to a handful of local\, upcycle designers for a small fee. Tickets are $15.

This visible mending workshop will be led by upcycle designer\, Nicole\, from Elsie’s Attic. In addition to Nicole leading participants through this mending workshop\, attendees will have the option to drop off quick mends (ie.\, fixes like\, a ripped seam\, replacing buttons\, patching a small hole and general mends that don’t require tailoring) to a handful of local\, upcycle designers for a small fee. Tickets are $15.
