Celebrate artistic creativity of the newly-opened ambitious and immersive exhibition\, “Dripping Earth: Cannupa Hanska Luger.” Luger’s work draws inspiration from his ancestral connection to the Northern Plains while also looking to the future in imaginative ways. \n\n\n\nSchedule: \n\n\n\n• Begin at theWelcome Table in the Hawks Pavilion! Pick up a program and map for the evening.  \n\n\n\n• The Curator Conversation program*\, 6-6:45 pm\, will focus on an important theme in Luger’s work\, the Plains bison\, with guest speaker Chris Helzer\, Director of Science and Stewardship at The Nature Conservancy in Nebraska. Helzer will share his photography while speaking on the ecology of bison and their roles in and interactions with prairies \n\n\n\n• The all-ages presentation called “We Are the Buffalo and the Buffalo Are Us!” by Renee Sans Souci\, an Umoⁿhoⁿ educator \n\n\n\n• In the studio\, create your own work of art. \n\n\n\n• Check out the Art Cart station\, with opportunities to touch hands-on materials and talk about art with our friendly Gallery Volunteers. \n\n\n\n• Drop-In Sketching! DESCRIPTION:With the ambitious and immersive exhibition\, “Dripping Earth\,” Cannupa Hanska Luger draws inspiration from his ancestral connection to the Northern Plains in newly created ceramics\, video projections\, prints\, and monumental sculpture. Luger’s playful and innovative approach invites visitors to envision a future where land\, identity\, and culture are reclaimed and transformed. \n\n\n\n“Dripping Earth” is a ticketed exhibition.
