SUMMARY:Beetles In The Wetlands: Community Science Day
DESCRIPTION:Omaha Bug Symposium and Fontenelle Forest will lead a short night hike on easy terrain to search for beetles\, millipedes\, and other creepy crawlies that come out at night in the Wetlands. End the night examining the creatures that visit the light trap.  \n\n\n\nLong pants and bug spray are HIGHLY encouraged. They recommend that participants bring their own flashlights or headlamps or borrow some on a first-come\, first-served basis. There are no facilities at the Wetlands\, so plan accordingly. \n\n\n\nThis program is geared toward adults and families with science-minded children due to the upper-level concepts and activities we will be engaging with.

SUMMARY:Twilight Trekking
DESCRIPTION:Twilight Trekking is a unique opportunity to see the Wetlands at night. The hike is geared toward intermediate to experienced hikers (ages 16+) and will traverse at least 2 miles of moderate to difficult terrain\, so please come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear. \n\n\n\nEducators recommend the following\, as applicable for the season: Long pants\, tall socks\, water bottle\, bug spray\, winter coat\, scarf\, and/or gloves. Check the weather as you are preparing for this event – safety of our guests is our top priority.  \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required.
