When Tap Dancers Specialty Coffee approached me about reviewing their goods, I politely declined. I was on a caffeine break. For the 15th time.
I said I’d be in touch if I ever fell off the wagon. They sent me decaf coffee … and some caffeinated, just in case.
I fell off the wagon.
And it was good. Oh so good. Amiright, coffee lovers?
The decaf brew (Honduras Raos Royal Decaf), by the way, was not the culprit. I liked the decaf, it tasted pretty darn good. It had Mr. Wonderful guessing if it was “real” coffee or not. The culprit was a band of merry bandits called my kids and dogs, who take turns waking me up in the middle of the night.
What’s special about Tap Dancer
Ok, the cool thing about this local company is that they get their beans on Wednesday each week. They roast them on Thursday. They deliver them to your doorstep on Friday.
That’s some fresh beans.
My house smelled like a coffee shop without even opening a bag.
My first pick to try was the Honduras Raos Royal Decaf. The flavor was just right, not at all bitter and it smelled spectacular. Decaf done right.
While I was off the wagon, Mr. Wonderful and I tried the Ethiopia Queen City, the Kenya Kiambara and Guatemala Blend. The Guatemalan beans are a specialty roast, and while the label suggests I should taste some sweetness of chocolate, crisp citrus and a “hint of nuttiness,” I missed that complexity. It tasted good, but I not my pick of the bunch.
I’m a medium roast kind of gal, so the Ethiopian and Kenyan beans were up my alley. The Kenyan was not as flavorful or bold as the Ethiopian beans, in my opinion, but it was still enjoyable.
The Ethiopian was my favorite – it’s a “dog woke me up at 2, my kids got up at 6, and it’s a Saturday morning” kind of coffee.
They gave me extra bags in case I wanted to host a giveaway but I’m going to be honest. I went on a bender.
Sorry, friends. No coffee for you.

Besides, you want your coffee to be the freshest, not made from beans that were roasted <gasp> a week ago!
Order your own darn coffee.
If you sign up for a coffee subscription by Feb. 28, you receive a FREE Incred A Brew coffee brewer. Browse their selection and place an order, and you’ll be having the freshest cup of coffee outside a coffee shop.
Disclaimer: I was provided complimentary bags of coffee beans in order to write this caffeinated post. All opinions are my own.

I'm giving away a few bags. I wish I would have told the sponsor I'd keep it all. I love it. I made the decision before I got the coffee. It's so good!
One of my old students designed their logo. I have 3 co-workers that have had a part in their website, and social media marketing.
