The next show in the Omaha Symphony’s Family Series sounds like you asked three kindergardeners what they’re into: “Mermaids, Minions and Dragons.”
Which is to say, it sounds totally awesome. Or whatever the kids are saying these days.
“Mermaids, Minions and Dragons” is Sunday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at the Holland Center. Pretty much, think of some of your family’s favorite movies, think of songs from those movies…and voila! You have this show. Among other movies, you’ll hear songs from “The Little Mermaid,” “Despicable Me” and “How to Train Your Dragon.”
The title makes more sense now, doesn’t it?
The songs will be performed live by the Omaha Symphony and supported by dance by the Heartland Youth Ballet and spectacles – things that make concert exciting for youngsters. And the best part is, it lasts a kid-friendly amount of time: One hour.

I'm not sure which is my daughter's favorite as she loves all three! If I had to pick just one, I would say that right now it would be all about Dragon.
