2018 Easter Egg Hunts & Family Activities

 

Forever Young Film Series – Movie Musicals

When: March 1-29; matinee showing on Saturdays, Sundays and Thursdays. Movies are “Grease” (March 1), “West Side Story” (March 3-15), and “Singin’ in the Rain” (March 17-29)

Cost: Tickets are $10, adults; $7.50, seniors/teacher/student/military; $5, members; and children tickets are $2.50

 

Gaelic Storm Live

When: March 1, 7:30 p.m.

Where: Arts Center at Iowa Western, 2700 College Road, Council Bluffs, Iowa

Kids Dream Family Film Series

When: March 2-18; “The Boss Baby” (March 2-4), “The Emoji Movie” (March 9-11), and “The LEGO Ninjago Movie” (March 16-18)

Where: Participating Marcus Theaters (in the Metro, that includes Majestic, Village Pointe and Twin Creek)

First Friday Family Date Night: Career Night

After Hours Family Fun Night

When: March 2 and April 6, 6 to 10 p.m.

Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

When: March 2, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Barnes & Noble locations, 7400 Dodge St. and 3333 Oakview Drive

Cost: FREE

 

“Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach”

When: March 2-25; opening night activities in the lobby on March 2 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Performances are Wednesdays–Saturdays, 7:30 p.m., and Sundays, 2 p.m.

Where: Omaha Community Playhouse, 6915 Cass St.

Cost: Single tickets start at $24 (Wednesdays) and start at $32 (Thursdays – Sundays) for adults and student tickets are $18(Wednesdays) and $20 (Thursdays – Sundays). Tickets for groups of 12 or more start at $22 for adults and start at $14 for students.

Tip: Ticket specials include a limited number of Twilight Tickets available at half price after noon the day of the performance at the Box Office. Cash or check only. Subject to availability. Discounted tickets for $10 will be available for the first Wednesday performance on Wednesday, March 7. $10 tickets will be available in
person at the box office starting at 4 p.m. the day of the show.

Family Zoo Adventure: Breakfast With The Bunny

When: March 24 and 31, 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Where: Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, 3701 S. 10th St.

Cost: Member cost is $25 for children and $20 for adults. Non-member cost is $30 for children and $25 for adults. Child ticket price includes egg hunt and early pass to Children’s Adventure Trails before the zoo opens. Include a full breakfast.
