SUMMARY:"In Search Of The Signers"
DESCRIPTION:The Durham Museum will have the internally-curated exhibition “In Search of the Signers” on display from Aug. 1 through Jan. 10\, 2027. The exhibition showcases a premier collection of authentic signatures and documents belonging to the men who founded our nation. NOTE: The museum stays open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays. \n\n\n\n“In Search of the Signers” highlights the extraordinary foresight of Byron Reed\, an Omaha businessman and real estate pioneer. During the late 19th century\, Reed dedicated himself to acquiring original manuscripts and official papers tied to the Signers of the Declaration. Upon his death in 1891\, he bequeathed his collection to the City of Omaha. Today\, this collection is held by The Durham Museum\, standing as one ofNebraska’s most significant historical assets.  \n\n\n\nThe exhibition features 49 original documents\, including personal letters\, land grants\, and official papers that offer a glimpse into the lives of the Signers before\, during\, and after the Revolutionary War. Beyond the documents themselves\, guests will discover the story of Byron Reed\, whose personal passion for collecting transformed a private pursuit into a vital public legacy and resource.

SUMMARY:"Sadie Barnette"
DESCRIPTION:Joslyn Art Museum will have an exhibition featuring Sadie Barnette through Jan. 3\, 2027 in the Scott Pavilion Riley CAP Gallery S8. NOTE: The museum stays open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. \n\n\n\nWorking across drawing\, sculpture\, photography\, and installation\, Barnette mines both personal narratives and collective histories\, exploring how the two intersect and diverge over the course of one’s life. Her exhibition in the CAP Gallery centers on a recording she discovered on a doorbell security camera. In the short black-and-white video\, the artist’s father is seen removing helium balloons from the trunk of a car. As he wrangles the inflatables – a gift for the artist’s mother – a single heart-shaped balloon floats away without his notice\, prompting a bewildered search of the vehicle. Upon reviewing the footage\, Barnette recognized that an easily overlooked episode had many stories to tell about gestures of affection\, about bearing witness to everyday life\, and about the transformation of a fleeting moment into the stuff of family lore.

SUMMARY:Wynonna Judd With Troubadour Blue
DESCRIPTION:Wynonna Judd brings The Hard Truth Tour to Omaha on Oct. 20 with Troubadour Blue. A star her entire adult life\, Wynonna’s first No. 1 hit\, “Mama He’s Crazy\,” was released while she was still a teenager. It was the first of eight consecutive number one singles she released with her mother Naomi\, performing as The Judds. When Wynonna set out on her own in 1991\, her first three solo singles likewise consecutively topped the country charts. Since then\, she’s had multiple solo albums reach multi-platinum sales. She has performed everywhere from Oprah and the Kentucky Derby to the Super Bowl halftime show.  \n\n\n\nHer spectacular voice still flaunts a power as limitless as her horizons. But this time\, listeners will hear that voice stripped down\, with no effects\, as she dives deep and delivers up her soul. Wynonna is working with Music Community Foundation to donate $1 per ticket to The Only Love Fund to spread joy and love to nonprofits across the country.
