SUMMARY:"Oh\, To Be A Kid Again"
DESCRIPTION:Holland Community Opera Fellow Abz Cameron’s participatory installation “Oh\, to Be a Kid Again” is at Clover24 from Aug. 7-21. The installation centers on a sense of childlike wonder and what it means to carry into adulthood. Bright colors\, bold graphic designs\, and familiar imagery invite you to slow down and connect with your inner dreamer… step inside a cloud\, walk across hand-made rugs\, draw on the walls\, and add to a creature corner built by the community. Through hands-on engagement\, guests are invited to play\, dream\, stay curious\, and get their heads in the clouds. \n\n\n\nThe Opening Reception is Aug. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. Explore the installation\, connect with the community\, and attend an artist talk and Q&A with the artist. It’s free and open to the public. \n\n\n\nGallery hours are Monday through from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Aug. 10 & 17 from 1 to 4 p.m.\, drop in for a slower\, quieter gallery experience with the artist. All are welcome\, and these hours are designed with accessibility in mind.

SUMMARY:"In Search Of The Signers"
DESCRIPTION:The Durham Museum will have the internally-curated exhibition “In Search of the Signers” on display from Aug. 1 through Jan. 10\, 2027. The exhibition showcases a premier collection of authentic signatures and documents belonging to the men who founded our nation. NOTE: The museum stays open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays. \n\n\n\n“In Search of the Signers” highlights the extraordinary foresight of Byron Reed\, an Omaha businessman and real estate pioneer. During the late 19th century\, Reed dedicated himself to acquiring original manuscripts and official papers tied to the Signers of the Declaration. Upon his death in 1891\, he bequeathed his collection to the City of Omaha. Today\, this collection is held by The Durham Museum\, standing as one ofNebraska’s most significant historical assets.  \n\n\n\nThe exhibition features 49 original documents\, including personal letters\, land grants\, and official papers that offer a glimpse into the lives of the Signers before\, during\, and after the Revolutionary War. Beyond the documents themselves\, guests will discover the story of Byron Reed\, whose personal passion for collecting transformed a private pursuit into a vital public legacy and resource.

SUMMARY:"Pipilotti Rist: I’m Not The Girl Who Misses Much"
DESCRIPTION:“Pipilotti Rist: I’m Not the Girl Who Misses Much” is on display in the Hawks Pavilion through Sept. 6. Rist’s lush videos enlist music\, technology\, and performance to blur the boundaries between the fantastical and the everyday.

Now all grown up\, Gretel is hoping for a quieter life as proprietress of the “Happily Ever After” Inn at the edge of Waverly Wood. Alas\, these woods come with a witch of their own: Pernicia\, who has dastardly plans involving a handsome young stranger named Jack. Proprietor Maude Spickard is constantly harassed by Muskrat Sam Winchester\, a local trapper\, who is in love with her. Ma is being helped in her store by heiress Nora Larabee\, whose family owns the local flour mill. Nate Reese\, alias notorious Hogwash Harry\, is posing as the editor of the town newspaper while plotting to rid the town of the Larabee family. Then there is Pelican Pete\, a local trapper who is notorious for his tremendous appetite. He falls in love with Nora while attempting to save her and her family from Hogwash’s evil plot. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Showdown at Sundown” \n\n\n\nBy: D. Luke Lavender\, the type of snake in the grass that gives snakes a bad name\, and his slinky girlfriend Belladonna Slither are making money hand over fist at the lodge\, but for Lavender that isn’t enough! His evil plan is to use sweet and innocent mail order bride Annie Pleasant to make a killing! Enter Sam Steadfast\, handsome and brave rancher\, who falls in love with Annie at first sight. Sam is broken-hearted when he discovers that Annie is to marry another.
