SUMMARY:HIKE Under The Stars
DESCRIPTION:HIKE Under the Stars is a community walk-a-thon taking place to raise money for The HIKE Fund\, a 501(c)3 charity that provides hearing aids and other assistive hearing devices for children in need. The cost to participate is $20\, which includes entry fee\, food\, games\, a lighted toy and more. A highlight of the evening will be a glow-in-the-dark walk. \nParticipants are invited to wear Star Wars or other sci-fi themed costumes\, and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed. The 501st Legion\, a fan-based organization dedicated to the construction and wearing of screen accurate replica characters from the Star Wars universe\, will be on site during the event to interact with participants.Pre-registration is encouraged\, but not required. \nThe event is planned by Job’s Daughters\, a youth group that empowers young women ages 10 to 20 to become strong and effective leaders through community service\, sisterhood and fun.
