Winterland will return to a weekend schedule in January and is anticipated to close for the season on Jan. 18\, 2027. \n\n\n\nEvents: \n\n\n\n\nOpening Skate on Halloween from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 31\, capped off with aMovies on Ice screening of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” at 8 p.m.\n\n\n\nNovember Movies on Ice – Skate around a giant outdoor movie screen or watch from the sidelines. The movie schedule is “Toy Story 5” on Nov. 7\, “The Polar Express” on Nov. 14\, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” on Nov. 21 and “Dr. Suess’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas” on Nov. 28.\n\n\n\nChanukah Skate – Heartwood Preserve and Chabad of Nebraska will host a special Chanukah Skate on Dec. 10 from 4 to 9:30 p.m.\, featuring free skating for all\, kosher treats and the live sculpting and lighting of an ice menorah.
