DESCRIPTION:“Johnny Cash Concert Experience” brings songs and stories from the “Man in Black” to the stage in a way that audiences haven’t seen or heard before. With video of Johnny from episodes of “The Johnny Cash TV Show” projected on a screen above the stage\, a live band and singers will accompany him in perfect sync. This concert experience will showcase iconic performances from the TV show and highlight the spirit of the legend by revisiting some of his memorable words and anecdotes.   \nCash will perform some of his biggest hits\, including “Folsom Prison Blues\,” “Ring of Fire\,” and “I Walk the Line\,” and share stories of people he met along the way whose causes he championed – the working man from all walks of life. SUMMARY:Black Violin
DESCRIPTION:For nearly two decades\, Black Violin has been merging string arrangements with modern beats and vocals and building bridges in communities along the way. Members Kev Marcus and Wil Baptiste first met in orchestra class at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale\, becoming classically trained on the violin and viola through their high school and college careers. Post-college\, they reconvened to produce beats for South Florida rappers\, and began building an audience in local clubs. \nBlack Violin’s 2019 album release\, “Take the Stairs\,” earned a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Contemporary Instrumental Album”. The band also recently received their second ever Grammy Award nomination for the track “The Message” as Best Americana Performance\, in collaboration with The Blind Boys of Alabama. \nBlack Violin has plays roughly 200 shows a year; many of which are performances for young\, low-income students in urban communities. In the last year alone\, the group has played for over 100\,000 students with the goal of challenging stereotypes and preconceived notions of what a “classical musician” looks and sounds like.  \nTickets start at $24. \nAbout the preshow Curtain Warmer \nTicketholders are invited to join us at 6:40 p.m. in the Steelhouse Omaha lobby for a pre-show activity. Local Emcee Tylynn Music will share music from her catalog with audiences before an electric night with Black Violin.
