The Water Lantern Festival will be held at Gene Leahy Mall in downtown Omaha on July 22. There will be food trucks and music starting at 6 p.m. Visitors design lanterns at 8:30 p.m. and the lantern launch will be from 9 to 10 p.m. Early bird ticket prices are $27 for adults and $13 for youth (ages 8-14). Kids 7 and under are admitted free, but will not receive a lantern kit. Price increases the closer to the event.
