The Patriotic Parade in the Old Market of downtown Omaha honors the nation’s military, first Responders and Gold Star Families, while inspiring love of country in Americans of all ages. Parade highlights include USMC’s Marching Band and Fort Riley’s Mounted Color Guard.
– The parade begins at 10th & Jackson, making its way north via The Old Market to the Gene Leahy Mall.
– Concert at the Gene Leahy Mall immediately follows the parade & includes Gold Star Families speaking their fallen loved one’s name during Roll Call. The USMC Marching Band will also perform at the concert, among others.
Note: The “Rise Above” traveling Tuskegee exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 26 and 27. Also free.
