Princess Events In Omaha

If you have a fan of Elsa or Belle or Ariel in your home, you know you can’t beat ‘em. You just have to join ‘em.

For this blog, I check out a lot of event calendars and newsletters. I’ve started noticing a theme.

Princesses.

They’re are everywhere. They might have invaded your house even.

So, here are some princess-themed events going on in Omaha.

Have a girl who loves Disney princesses? This is the list to keep an eye on! These are the special events like the annual Fairytale Ball as well as summer camps inspired by princesses.

“Enchanted Kingdom”

When: May 25 through Sept. 1

Where: Omaha Children’s Museum, 500 S. 20th St.

What: A special exhibit featuring a castle (with a mirror maze), animatronic dragons and unicorns, and characters found in kingdoms long, long ago.

Cost: FREE with museum admission, which is $13, ages 2-59; $12, 60+; FREE for children under 2 and members

Royal Highland Ball

When: June 1, 6 to 9 p.m.

Where: Omaha Children’s Museum, 500 S. 20th St.

What: The first-ever Royal Highland Ball features dragon trainers, Scottish dance and Scottish-inspired activities, and of course, princesses. Tickets include dinner, activities, horse-drawn carriage rides and fireworks.

Cost: $20 per person for members and $35 per person for non-members. Children under 24 months do not need a ticket. Combo tickets to attend both The Royal Highland Ball and the Fairytale Ball for $30 each for members and $60 each for non-members.

Princess Camp

When: June 10-14 or July 15-19, 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Bloom Dance Studio, 2067 N. 157th St.

What: This week-long summer camp for girls age 3 to 5 will include dress up, dancing, tea parties, painting nails, games and elegance. During camp, students will learn basic dance styles like ballet, tap and even a little tumbling.

Cost: $149

Princess Workshop

When: June 29, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Board and Brush, 539 N. 155th Plaza

What: Select and make your own sign. While there, enjoy meeting Rapunzel and get you photo taken with her. There will also be face painting and treats. This will be a royal day you wont want to miss!

Cost: $25

My Princess Dream Summer Camp

When: July 8-12 or July 15-19, 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Omaha Children’s Museum, 500 S. 20th St.

What: My Princess Dream is a week-long summer camp for kids ages 4 and 5. Every day is enchanting when you’re learning to be a princess. Each day campers learn about a different princess and her passions – like Belle’s love of reading.

Cost: $120 for members and $135 for non-members; save $10 off the camp if purchased before May 31

Princess Camp

When: July 15-18, 9 to 11:15 a.m.

Where: Fusion Dance Studio, 168th and Harrison streets

What: Dance to favorite princess music from “Frozen,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Snow White” and more. The day consists of dance, dress up, story time, snacks and princess crafts. Campers also learn manners and proper etiquette.

Cost: $120

Fairytale Ball

When: July 27, 6 to 9 p.m.

Where: Omaha Children’s Museum, 500 S. 20th St.

What: The fourth annual Fairytale Ball features a fairy godmother and wishing well, activities like making your own wands and unicorn glitter jars, and of course, princes and princesses. Tickets include dinner, activities, horse-drawn carriage rides and fireworks.

Cost: $20 per person for members and $35 per person for non-members. Children under 24 months do not need a ticket. Combo tickets to attend both The Royal Highland Ball and the Fairytale Ball for $30 each for members and $60 each for non-members.
