Start Of Easter & St. Patrick’s Day Events In Omaha

I’ve handpicked three fun things your family might want to do this weekend, but I totally understand if you opt to just stand outside and enjoy the warmer weather (if it doesn’t rain). There are a TON of events this weekend (including FREE Easter egg hunts) and since I couldn’t include them all, head over to my post Big Fun List Of Family Events In March.

2016 AOH Omaha St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When: Saturday, 10 a.m.

Where: Downtown Omaha, passing through 15th & Howard Streets, go EAST on Harney to 11th Street, SOUTH to Howard Street, and WEST to 14th Street.

Family Workshop – Egg Dyeing With Whole Foods

When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Lauritzen Gardens, 100 Bancroft St.

Why: You want to learn how to dye eggs with natural ingredients

Who’d like this: Organic shoppers; crunchy granola moms

Tip: This does not include admission to the gardens, and you need to pay your registration in advance. Also, “Floral Fusion: The Glass Art of Craig Mitchell Smith” is on display right now, and I’m told the absolute best time to see them is during the night illumination – doesn’t help if you go in the morning for this egg thing, but it’s something to keep in mind.
