With New Year’s Eve falling on a Saturday this year, there’s going to be a huge amount of NYE events in Omaha planned for all ages. If you’re looking for a special place to celebrate the New Year, check out this list of places.

All Ages New Year’s Eve Events
There will be a New Year’s Eve Hike at Hitchcock Nature Center, 27792 Ski Hill Loop, Honey Creek, Iowa, starting at 6 p.m. The hike ends with a view from the top of the HawkWatch Tower, which will have a view of the Omaha firework display from CHI Health Center.
The New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular starts at 7 p.m. Tune in to STAR 104.5 to listen to the music the fireworks are choreographed to. Fireworks will be launched from Parking Lot D (no public parking) of the CHI Health Event Center in downtown Omaha. Arrive early and park for FREE to view the up-close show in the recommended viewing areas: CHI Health Event Center Lots A, B & C (lot opens to the public at 6 p.m. and Lot A is only the lower lot); and at Gallup Parking Lots, 1001 Gallup Drive. All Downtown Omaha parking meters will be free after 5 p.m. on Dec. 31, courtesy of Park Omaha.
The Hub New Year’s Eve Glow Party runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at The Hub, and includes balloon drop, a dodgeball tournament, and jumping at the trampoline park. Cost is $30 for non-members and $25 for members; use NYEmail when reserving to save $5 off each party pass when making a reservation.
Family New Year’s Eve Events
Bubbly New Year’s Eve will be celebrated at Omaha Children’s Museum, 500 S. 20th St., all day (from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.) Activities include tthe Amazing Bubble Show, NYE crafts, characters, and bubble drops throughout the day. All activities included with admission, while supplies last.
Noon Year’s Eve Celebration at The Durham Museum, 801 S. 10th St., starts at 10 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m. Children of all ages will enjoy this fun-packed bash with live music from Dino O’Dell and the T-Rex All-Stars, special crafts and activities. Ring in the noon year in your handmade party hat while enjoying the celebratory bubble wrap stomp and a spectacular balloon drop at noon in the Suzanne and Walter Scott Great Hall. Included with admission and free for members; reservations open on Dec. 1.
Noon Year’s Eve at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. at the Desert Dome Plaza. Party with the animals and celebrate New Year’s Eve with entertainment from Joe Cole’s Magic Show, music and an early countdown to 2022 complete with a mini beach ball drop at noon outside on the Desert Dome Plaza.
New Year’s Eve Events for Adults (21+)
“It Was All a Dream” New Year’s Eve starts at 7 p.m. at the Throwback Arcade Lounge, 1402 Howard St. DJ Rebirth will mix favorites from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s! At midnight, there will be a huge confetti pop. There is a cover charge but reservations are not required; VIP reservations can be made, though, and will receive a complimentary bottle of champagne.
Saro Omaha New Year’s Eve Bash starts at 8 p.m. at 1012 S. 10th St. Tickets are $65/person and include reserved seating; charcuterie and heavy hors d’oeuvres; one cider pour of your choice; NYE Party favors; live lounge music with Emily Bass; and a complimentary bottle of bubbly for toasting. Tickets go on sale Dec. 1. Bar seats are first come first serve. Open to non-ticket holders at 9 p.m. with $20 entrance fee.
Slowdown’s New Year’s Eve Party starts at 8 p.m. at 729 N. 14th St. DJs, dancing, and champagne toast at midnight. Advanced tickets are $10 before Nov. 30, $20 from Dec. 1-30, and $30 the day of (if available). A limited number of VIP tickets are $75 each and include: a private bar with 1 cent drinks all night long (Premium wells, Several canned beer options, House red and white wine, Champagne), balcony access, and an appetizer buffet from 8 to 10 p.m.
Roaring 20’s New Years Eve Party at The Capitol District features three venues with parties – Annie’s Irish Pub, Beer Can Alley and The Exchange. General Admission can be purchased on New Year’s Eve starting at 8 p.m. when the doors open. VIP reservations available in advance. VIP and G/A tickets will get you open access to all 3 venues.
One Percent Productions Presents: Wither, Decay NYE Bash with Wither, Decay | Downhearted | Given | Neo Sol at the Reverb Lounge, 6121 Military Ave. Doors open at 9 p.m. and music starts at 10. Tickets are $15.
Casting Magic New Year’s Eve Party starts at 7 p.m. at Edge of the Universe, 6070 N. Maple St. Dress in your witchiest finest. Drinks, cocktails, charcuterie, and desserts available all night and a free champagne toast (or ginger-ale toast) when the clock strikes midnight.
Throwback Party New Year’s Eve has doors opening at 9 p.m. at The Waiting Room, 6212 Maple St. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on Dec. 31, or $40 for five tickets.
New Year’s Eve Prophecy Party is from 4 to 8 p.m. at Trucks & Taps, 5402 S. 108th St., and features a Flaky Fortune Teller, Advice from a Freshman, Surly Life Coach and Pessimistic Palm Reader. Drink specials, food trucks and raffles.
Lemon Fresh Day NYE Bash starts at 9 p.m. at Barrel & Vine, 1311 S. 203rd St. Dinner, drinks and dancing to live music.
The Ultimate New Year’s Eve Party starts at 9 p.m. at Two Fine Irishmen, 18101 R Plaza, suite 108. Live music by ECKO. Entry fee is $10 or tables for 4 or 6 may also be reserved for $100 and $150 respectively (includes champaign and shared desserts).
The New Year’s Eve Bash and Midnight Ball Drop starts at 7 p.m. at Granary District, 7401 Main St., Ralston, Neb. It will be held at three Venues at one time and will include two live bands, a smorgasbord of hors d’oeuvres by Abraham catering, two DJs, a photo booth, and party favors. $20 tickets include access to indoors/outdoors at Bushwackers and the Granary Green, champagne toast and party favors; $180 table includes a reserved table for four inside Bushwackers, four entries to the indoor/outdoor party, champagne toast, and party favors. Tip: Ralston residents get free access to outdoor party and ball drop only.
Ameristar New Year’s Eve will include live music from Taxi Driver and drinks & dancing in the Pavilion. The party starts at 8:30 p.m. at Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs, 2200 River Road, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
New Year’s Eve Party at The Dock Bar & Grill, 401 Veterans Memorial Highway, Council Bluffs, Iowa, starts at 7:30 p.m. with live music from Chasin’ Nickels. Dinner package for $35 includes live entertainment, champaign toast and party favors. Band-only package is $15 each and includes music, champaign toast and party favors.
New Year’s Eve at Sugars starts at 9 p.m. at Sugars Lounge and Diner, 2725 E. Kanesville Blvd., Council Bluffs, Iowa. Live music by Fender Bender.
