I get serious cabin fever in the winter. One place to visit in winter has been a hit with every member in our family: The Omaha Salvation Army Kroc Center…particularly the pool. When the kids were younger, I appreciated the zero-depth entry and the cute fountains and little kid’s slide. Now they’re a little older and surer in the water, so the little lazy river and big kid’s slide are where it’s at.
Disclosure: Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center is an advertiser on Oh My! Omaha and provided the passes for this giveaway. I was not compensated for writing this post and all thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.
The place is a great escape in the winter, but they’re going to make it even better! They will be installing a 2 1/2 story slide that takes sliders outside the building and back in again. It sounds like fun! Since they will be putting the pool under construction to complete it, I’m letting you know to get your fill of the pool NOW before the pool closes (the first week in February).
The Kroc Center has a lot of weekly events, and if you time your pool visit well, you can enjoy things like Inflatable Fridays or Sunday Fundays. Check out this post about family fun at the Kroc Center.
