Fun Things To Do In Omaha Oct. 30-Nov. 2

Halloween is a whole weekend around these parts (some may say a whole month), and I was tempted to have this list be all Halloween goodness. But, I just couldn’t do it.

Here are three fun things to do this weekend that involve something a little spooky, and one thing for those ready to move on from Halloween:

 

Baseballoween Bash

When: Tonight, 5 to 8 p.m.

Where: Werner Park, 12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion

Why: Baseball and Halloween? Why not? Head to the stadium for a FREE event featuring trick-or-treating, a haunted house in the press box, crafts and more.

Who’d like this: Baseball fans; kids needing to keep their sugar high going; families on a budget

 

Halloween at the Children’s Museum

When: Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Omaha Children’s Museum,

Why: Your kids rock at crafts, so you want to bring them here to make goblin goo and a Halloween necklace. Activities included with admission.

Who’d like this: Kids of all ages

Tip: Don’t forget to visit Cobweb Castle while you’re there. If you dare.

 

Family Sundays in the Forest: Families on Foot

When: Sunday, 2 to 3 p.m.

Where: Fontenelle Forest,

Why: Kids need a good fall hike to burn off some of those Halloween calories.

Who’d like this: Outdoorsy folk; active families; preschoolers and older kids

Tip: Guided hike and activities are included in forest admission.
