Color Me Rad 5K Details + Giveaway

The Color Me Rad 5K is back and word on the street is, it’s radder than ever.

rad raceWhat makes a 5K rad? Atmosphere. No one is out there to win a race (except maybe that one guy); everyone is there to have fun. And get messy.

Color Me Rad is April 26 beginning at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The first wave at 9 a.m. is sold out; wave 2 is at 9:15 a.m. It’s a very flat course.

That’s the wave you’ll find me and Farley in. That’s right, my race buddy is 4. It’s that kind of 5K- no pressure to set a PR. I think he’ll have a blast!

I did it two years ago with a group.

My sister and her husband invited Mr. Wonderful and I to be on their team two years ago. That was our first time doing a race where volunteers threw things at us.

My sister and her husband invited Mr. Wonderful and I to be on their team two years ago. That was our first time doing a race where volunteers threw things at us.

I was expecting to run most of it, but turns out everyone likes to linger at the color bomb stations, getting as multi-hued as possible. Knowing what I know now, I’m tossing my competitive streak aside and just looking forward to seeing my son finish his first 5K.

If that sounds like fun to you, I’ve got a totally rad giveaway for you!

One winner will receive two entries into the April 26 Color Me Rad race! That’s a $70+value*!

Just enter the Rafflecopter entry form, put on your favorite sweatband and cross your fingers. A random name will be drawn on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 11:59 p.m. I’ll let the winner know how to get his or her free passes by email.

Like the early bird deadline, this code is only good through Feb. 28.
