46 Holiday Events At Omaha Libraries + Giveaway

Books play a big part in my Christmas plans each year:
1. My kids get a new Christmas book each year during the 12 Days of Christmas (which I notoriously overplan)

2. We always plan a stop at the Main Library for story time and cookie making during the Wells Fargo Family Festival

How about you? Do books play a part in holiday plans? I’ve got a giveaway for you if they do. Win a children’s book by making a plan to do one of my favorite things in the holidays – visiting a local library.

Giveaway

Edited (Nov. 24, 2015): Congrats to Niki for winning the copy of “The Not Very Merry Pout-Pout Fish”! Your book’s in the mail.

Deborah Diesen is back with another wonderful book featuring the Pout Pout Fish. Never heard of him? My kids are big fans of this misunderstood grumpy guy.

Not Very Merry Cover (1)

In The Not Very Merry Pout-Pout Fish (A Pout-Pout Fish Adventure), Mr. Fish is on the hunt for the perfect gift. He’s focused on finding the best, the most perfect thing for each person on his list. I can relate. But lucky for him, he has a friend to remind him that the best gift is one that comes from the heart.

It’s kid-approved stuff! My kids love it.

HOW TO WIN: One lucky winner can get a copy of the brand new “The Not Very Merry Pout-Pout Fish” by browsing the list of events at our local libraries – all FREE! – and leaving a comment about the one that sounds the most fun for your kids. That’s all! Giveaway ends Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.

  4. Christa Kreeger says:

Afternoon with Santa and any of the music events as my little guy absolutely Loves music. We would love the Pout Pout Christmas book. One of his favorite characters. We just checked out a book on the real Pout fish. Amazing facts about this real fish!

  5. Crystal Neese says:

The Hogwarts lockin sounds super fun!!

  6. The Elf on the Shelf activity at the Elkhorn branch actually sounds the most fun to me. We will be doing Elf on the Shelf for the first time this year so searching for an elf at the library would be exciting too.

  7. Any of the craft events – Christmas Craft for Kids

  8. We will be doing lots of these events! For sure finding the Elf on the Shelf at the Elkhart branch and the Noon Year’s Eve party at the Main library. Also, the Bernstein Bears are coming to story time in December so we will attend that as well. The Pout Pout fish made an appearance a couple months ago so my kids would love this book!

  9. Elf on the Shelf sounds fun…and my kids love crafts and making gingerbread houses. Sounds like a lot of great options! 🙂
